Lots of peanut butter jars with the Wendle Ford, 2nd Harvest and Ford Peanut Butter Drive logos.

During the summer months, kids are out of school. Some families may not have access to school nutrition and need help with kid-friendly food staples.

Now through the 4th of July, we will be collecting jars of peanut butter for the Ford Peanut Butter Drive.  All donations will be given to Second Harvest of the Inland Northwest to stock their shelves for the summer months.

Second Harvest of the Inland Northwest

Second Harvest needs extra peanut butter to help feed kids who no longer have access to school food programs.  During the summertime, the food banks start getting low.  Creamy or chunky, they can use it all.

Another option is to donate money directly to the Second Harvest.  The food bank has the ability to purchase peanut butter at a lower price; therefore, your dollar will get a little bit more.

Why Peanut Butter?

Food banks and kids love peanut butter.  Besides being yummy, it’s rich in protein, an essential nutrient for growing kids.   Plus, the spread is a healthy option that provides needed fats and carbohydrates.  It’s a versatile food, good for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Please join us and help fill our bins located around the dealership.  Together, we can help stock the shelves of Second Harvest.  It is a wonderful way to give back to our community that we call home and support the Ford Focus on Child Hunger.
