Mar 27, 2023

The Northeast Washington Educational Service District 101 with the East Valley School District is hosting the Automotive Trades Night at Spokane Community College (SCC).  The event will take place April 19, 2023, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.  SCC is located at 1810 N Greene Street.  Go to the Automotive Building, #18.  The event is FREE to attend and open to all ages.  If you want to participate, you are required to wear pants and closed-toed shoes.

Not Your Typical Career Fair

This is a great opportunity for our community.  It’s not your typical career fair.  Parents and students are invited to participate in a hands-on experience in the automotive field.  Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and talk with professionals in the industry and participate in various activities.  You’ll be able to measure tread depth, change a tire, diagnose a vehicle, wheel alignment, collision repair and much more.  Do you love cars and working on them?  Then this is the event for you.  Join us and explore the many career paths in the automotive field.

At the Automotive Trades Night, we will have technicians show attendees how they diagnosis vehicles. For example, they’ll bring “you see what I see” headset diagnostic tools, providing virtual training of sorts to show attendees just one of the ways they diagnose and repair vehicles.
