Did you know you can unlock your Ford Vehicle without a key or remote?  Going fishing and don’t want to carry your keys with you?  With the SecuriCode keyless entry keypad, you can lock your keys in your vehicle and then unlock it, all without a key or remote.  It’s another Ford handy feature, all designed with convenience in mind.

The keyless entry pad is located on the driver’s door.

How to Program the SecuriCode

The first step to using the keyless entry is to program the keypad.  When you bought your new Ford, it came pre-preprogrammed with a 5-digit code.

  1. Enter the 5-digit factory code.
  2. Press the 1/2 button within five seconds.
  3. Enter new 5-digit code within five seconds.
  4. Press the 1/2 button to save it.

You can also program more than one personal code.

  1. Enter the 5-digit factory code.
  2. Press the 1/2 button within five seconds.
  3. Enter new 5-digit code within five seconds.
  4. Press the 3/4 button to save it.

You can set additional codes for 5/6, 7/8 and 9/0.

You can also set the keypad codes using the touchscreen inside the vehicle.

  1. Select Settings.
  2. Select Vehicle.
  3. Select Door Keypad Code.
  4. Enter the 5-digit factory code.
  5. Enter new 5-digit code and confirm it.

How to Lock Your Keys in Your Car

On the keypad, enter your 5-digit code.  This will unlock the driver’s door.  To unlock the rest of the doors, press the 3/4 button.

More You Can Do with Your Personal Code

If your vehicle is equipped with the driver memory setting for mirror and seat positions, the personal codes you programmed correlate with the memory buttons.  When you use the code to enter the vehicle, the memory positions will be recalled.  Whatever 5-digit code you programmed as code number one, 1/2, will be stored on the memory one button.  3/4 will be stored in the memory two button and 5/6 will be stored in the memory three button.

What do I do if I Can’t Find My Factory Code

If for some reason you can’t find your factory code that came with your vehicle, you can still retrieve the code.

  1. You will need both of your key fobs.
  2. Place one key fob in the backup slot located in the console cup holder.  (Locations vary by models.)
  3. Turn the ignition on.
  4. Turn the ignition off.
  5. Take the key out.
  6. Place the second key fob in the backup slot.
  7. Turn the ignition on.
  8. Your factory code will display on the information display for a few seconds.

Tips

  • Do not set a code that uses five of the same number.
  • Do not use five numbers in sequential order.
  • The factory-set code will work after you have set personal codes.
