Wendle’s Next Top Dog: Is Your Dog the Ultimate Fishing Partner for Our Wendle Ford F-150 Commercial?

Is your dog a star?  Enter the Wendle’s Next Top Dog search campaign for the opportunity to have your dog in our Ford F-150 ad.  Your pup could be the face, along with the best-selling truck in America for 49 years, of our Ford F-150 promotion.

🤩Why We’re Looking for Local Star

At Wendle Ford, we’ve spent over 80 years helping Spokane families get to the water.  We know that in the Inland Northwest, a fishing trip isn’t complete without two things: a reliable Ford F-150 and a loyal dog by your side.

To celebrate the dependability of our brand and our best friends, we are launching the official search for the next Wendle Ford dog.  We’re looking for one local dog to co-star in our upcoming commercial.  What kind of dog are we looking for?  There is no specific breed required to be Wendle’s Next Top Dog. The ideal star is friendly with a sweet personality, enjoys the outdoors and is happy by the water.

🚤The Scene: An F-150, a Lake and Your Dog

The future ad will feature the legendary Ford F-150 in its natural habitat-parked lakeside with gear loaded and the tailgate down.  Whether you’re heading to Silver Lake, Newman Lake or the Spokane River, the F-150 is the ultimate tool for the job.

Why the F-150 is a Fisherman’s Best Friend:

  • Pro Power Onboard: Use your truck as a mobile generator to power a portable cooler for your catch of the day or your dog’s water bowl.
  • Tailgate Work Surface: The perfect spot to prep your tackle, measure your fish (It was this big!!) or set out some treats for your co-star.
  • Max Recline Seats: Ideal for those early morning starts at Liberty Lake when you and your dog need a quick nap before the fish start biting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to live in the Spokane to enter my dog?

To ensure that our Wendle’s Next Top Dog is a true representative, we ask that all entrants reside in the Spokane County area.  Whether you’re in the heart of the city, out in Spokane Valley or Mead, we want to see your pups.  This residency request helps ensure that our winner can easily attend the filming on April 2nd and remains part of our local Wendle Ford community.

Can I enter more than one dog into the contest?

Absolutely!  You are welcome to enter each one.  To make sure that each pup gets a chance to win, please submit each dog as a separate comment with their specific name and a photo on our official Facebook posts.

Does my dog need to be professionally trained to be in the commercial?

No professional training is required.  We’re simply looking for a friendly, well-behaved Inland Northwest dog that is comfortable being outdoors and around new people.

What happens if my dog wins but I am unable to attend the filming date?

Because our production schedule is set for April 2, 2026, the owner (or a designated representative 18+) must be present with the dog for the duration of the shoot.  If the winning dog’s owner is unable to attend, an alternate winner may be selected from the runners-up to ensure we stay on schedule.

Which Ford F-150 features are best for dog owners in Spokane?

The Ford SuperCrew cab offers massive floor space with the seats folded up, perfect for a large dog bed.  Many Spokane owners also add Ford Accessories like all-weather floor liners to protect against muddy paws after a day at the lake.

Where is the best Ford Service Center in Spokane for pet owners?

Wendle Ford’s Service Center offers specialized interior detailing to handle pet hair and odors, ensuring your vehicle stays fresh regardless of how many trips you take to the dog park.

Do I need to be a current Wendle Ford customer to enter?

Not at all!  We love our Spokane community.  From Spokane Valley to Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene, dog owners across the Inland Northwest are invited to participate.
